This could be used in a dance lesson due to its repetitive rhythm.
Words like Justice (Adili), Freedom (Uhuru) and Together (Sharika) can give a focus for interpretation. Sharika could also link with the ‘Gumboot Dance’ which South African miners used to communicate with each other.
Format
Song: Up tempo, percussion led bright, positive song about slave rebellion and dignity.
Visuals: Hand painted animation, bright coloured African images and symbols.
